Three Shires Ecology stands as a leading UK ecological specialist practice, built on a trusted collaboration within Three Shires Limited. Originating from the company’s strong reputation as a specialist ecological and environmental contractor, our practice has evolved to deliver comprehensive ecological services that support the UK’s top construction contractors, developers, architects and consultants. This close integration ensures our clients benefit from both deep ecological expertise and the practical, solution-focused approach that defines the entire Three Shires Limited’s legacy.

A Complete Range of Ecological Services & Solutions

Our accredited and experienced Ecologists provide end-to-end ecological support for projects, from initial concept through to completion. We specialise in ecological surveys and impact assessments, Biodiversity Net Gain, Licencing, and mitigation strategies, with a strong focus on practical and viable solutions.

With in-depth knowledge of protected species legislation, we understand the potential financial and scheduling impacts ecology can have on a project. By engaging with us early, clients gain clarity for master planning, accurate cost modelling, and realistic project timelines—helping to avoid costly delays or overruns. We design and specify effective mitigation measures, produce detailed programmes to support critical path planning, delivering client-focused technical reports with supporting data, spatial analysis, GIS mapping, and pragmatic recommendations

In short, we give clients a clear understanding of potential risks and provide proactive solutions to keep projects on track.
